A few days ago when I reported on facebook building something new, asked techie websites to their event with the subject; “Come and see what we are building”, I said that it is going to be a new facebook hardware device for the first time most probably.
But a few techie mouths has started buzzing about iPad Messenger. Yes, do you know facebook has no version of its Messenger for iPad yet? If you know so it could be that too. When I wrote that article I also mentioned that with the present tense used in the subject of invitation from facebook it is quite obvious that whatever this thing is coming out on Tuesday is not quite ready yet.
What we are listening now is about a brilliant app for iPad, with emoticons, read receipts, location tagging, group messaging, photo sharing, and the new voice recorded messaging feature. But that all is what already exists on the iPad in a bigger format.
The head of messenger applications Peter Deng was cranking a couple of days ago. The Social Network partner Microsoft is killing its Messenger service (MSN), and now this is a month after we are about to listen a good announcement about Facebook Messenger?
The VoIP, video chat, and voice messages are said to be “the home phones killer”, means with the new iPad Messenger a few people won’t mind cutting their home phones at all.
It could be facebook is starting with Messenger and trying to rebuild its application in preparation for a revamp of its core product on mobile. In any case the hot news is “Get ready for iPad Messenger”.
